SWITCH SWITCH

by dekker » Sat Jan 19, 2008 1:48 pm

I HAVE A SWITCH (3 switches) IN MY HALL, THAT CONTROLS AN OUTSIDE LIGHT, THE LANDING LIGHT AND MY HALL LIGHT. I HAVE SWITCH (1 switch) IN MY LIVING ROOM THAT CONTROLS THE LIVING ROOM LIGHT ONLY. IS IT POSSIBLE TO REMOVE THE SWITCH FOR THE LIVING ROOM LIGHT AND RUN THE LIVING ROOM LIGHT OFF THE SWITCH IN THE HALL WHILE REMOVING THE HALL LIGHT COMPLETELY. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Hall switch to work living room
I would say no as there is no switch wire from the hall to the living room light.

Of course it would be possible if additional wiring was installed.

The Wire from l/r light to the l/r switch would need removal and rerouting or replacing from the l/r light TO the desired switch. (hallway) or TO the hall light connections

The removal of the landing light is ok though if done safely.
