The house I am moving into has a tiled up fire place with an air vent in the centre. I would like to erect a modern electric fire place in front of it.
Would I simply be able to remove the fire surround and put a new one in its place and then stand an electric fire in the centre or would this cause problems with air circulation through the vent?
