I have stripped easypeel wallpaper off leaving the backing. Can I proceed to tile the walls on top of this or does it need to come off??

I have stripped easypeel wallpaper off leaving the backing. Can I proceed to tile the walls on top of this or does it need to come off??

You should never leave a papered surface on a wall before tiling. The adhesive will soften it preventing it from adhering properly.
