Timber Base for Shed

Post by TitanicDave » Sat Feb 13, 2010 11:09 am

Im just about to put down the timber base subframe for my wooden shed,
It will be sited on a grassed area, and im also using bearers. I have got a damp course membrane and not sure where I should install it, i.e on top of the main timber frame, under main frame, on top of shed bearers or between the subframe and bearers.

Could anyone advise please

TitanicDave,
If you are putting treated timber bearers on the ground so the shed floor timbers are raised above ground level do not use any DPM. Leave it open so the floor is ventilated.
