Toilet cistern lever not working

by AnnieB » Thu Oct 09, 2008 7:24 pm

Hi, I have a low level WC-went to flush this evening, the lever has "gone loose" on me in that when I lifted the cover off the cistern I could see that the metal hook that is hanging off the plastic piece inside the toilet which is attached to the chrome handle outside of the toilet is not attached to anything, making the whole thing loose and not tight as before, but I cannot see where I would "hook up" this metal hook to, if you get what I am talking about!! Please help, to what do I hook this up to?!

The metal hook would normally connect to the cistern lever arm http://www.wickes.co.uk/Toilet-Repair/C ... largeimage

and the top of the syphon http://www.wickes.co.uk/Toilet-Repair/W ... largeimage - you can see the metal hook on this picture.
