hi, the join where the copper pipe meets the plastic thread underneath the toilet is leaking, can i cut the pipe and connect a pushfit connector onto it, if not what is the way to stop it leaking, what do i do, thanks.
try just tightening it (gently, otherwise you can ruin the plastic thread) it may just be loose.
failing that then it's probably just the washer inside. could be either rubber or fibre. shut off the water supply to the toilet. disconnect the copper connector, remove and replace the washer. should solve the problem.
I presume we are talking about the cold feed to the toilet?
Theere should be a connector from the copper that screws onto the plastic thread of the toilet inlet...... try just tightening this..... if still no luck, turn off water to the toilet, undo the nut and wind some PTFE tape around the thread and reconnect the nut with a new fibre washer in place.
