I am removing all the old pencil round skirting in my 1960's house and replacing with 5" Torus. I have come unstuck and become perplexed with the finish to thetop of the stairs ?
Basically I have a standard MDF stair running straight up but there is no moulding on the stairs. How do I finish the joint between the 2 without it looking obviously.
The same problem exsits at the bottom of the stairs ?
Do I have to cut down a piece of Torus and run it all the way up the side of the stairs along the wall ?
Perplexed, Nick
I would probably end the skirting before u reach the bottom of your stairs, and then start it again at the top, thats probably the easiest way and better looking way! :D
