TV Aerial Split & Boost - please help.......

Post by aclark55@hotmail.co.uk » Mon Jul 30, 2007 12:57 pm

I have a single co-ax going in to a loft aerial (it is wired in rather than connected via male/female connection). Please could anyone tell me how:
1. I wire in the booster/splitter box in to the actual aerial?
2. What are the advantages of the powered booster over the non-powered version?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I presume you want to use one aerial to feed 2 or more TV's?
answer to your? depends upon several factors, !st how good is your picture IE are you near transmitter &/or do you have a good antenna in the loft? if so then a straight splitter will do, get 3 plugs usually 1 Female & 2 Male types reqd. and fit to splitter 'tee' .
If picture quality degrades then you need a powered amplifier/splitter.
