Undercoat Breaking off in Windy Weather

by Mikemulois » Tue Mar 06, 2018 11:44 am

Hi

Looking for a bit of advice . I have a three storey town house built around 2004.

In windy weather I’ve noticed grey pieces of the undercloak on the floor outside - it hasn’t broken off everywhere and is more noticeable at the lowest points .

The mortar doesn’t seem to have broken off . Reviews of the dry system don’t instill me with confidence .

Should the roof remain waterproof or could the gaps where the undercloak have broken off let in rain and rot the battons ?

Would repairs be recommended and what could these be cost wise ?New undercloak etc

Thanks

Mike
