Underfloor heating Manifold

by stuesan » Sun Feb 13, 2011 12:50 pm

I am fitting UFH and getting my information off the internet from people like yourself, thankyou. I see that a number of controls are fitted to the manifold, eg pump and blender (thermostatic valve) Supplier's websites advertise a pump which will do a single loop ( at 3KW) or a pump that will do multiple loops up to 14 KW. I will have 6 loops which will demand far more than 14 KW, do I just fit a bigger (pumping capacity) pump?

With regard to the blender, ( I assume this gadget introduces cooler water from the return pipe if the supply from the boiler is too hot)If I am using a combi codensing boiler which I can set at the required UFH temperature ( 35 - 40 degrees) is the blender neccessary ? Thank you.
