I have an underfloor heating system and having gone through several hundred litres of oil recently, i have been recommended to install a thermostat that involves keeping the heating on 24hrs but this stat regulates the heat at a certain constant core temperature in the floor. this apparently reduces the need to keep dragging up the core temp everytime the heating comes on.
Does this idea work and does this reduce oil consumption?
