I have removed a connecting French door and merged two rooms into one open plan room. I have an issue now as I want to lay continuous laminate between the two rooms. The subfloor in the back part is concrete and is considerably higher than the front half of the room where the subfloor is floorboards. I have considered laying ply in the front section of the room to try and make the two rooms as close as level as possible, however the two subfloors are connected by a slope (Concrete). I have no idea how to make the two heights meet due to this issue. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you
Hi kentydiy, Do as you propose - lay ply in the front part to level the two floors (you may have to use multiple layers to get it right). Use a sharp sand/cement mix to join the two levels. Regards S
