upstairs lighting suddenly not working

by brentrobbo » Wed Aug 08, 2007 4:05 pm

For no apparent reason all the lights upstairs - with the exception of the light in the bathroom and a shaver light/socket - have stopped working. The fuse box has not tripped out as usually happens when a bulb has blown.
I have no idea how or why this has suddenly happened as no DIY jobs were being done at the time.

Has anyone any ideas please?

YOUR CIRCUIT PROBALY STARTS AT BATHROOM LIGHT
WITH FEED COMING IN FROM BOARD. ( SEE DOC PROJECTS ON LIGHTING ). IF U CAN ACCESS , FROM ABOVE , HAVE ANY
CABLES BEEN AFFECTED BY ANY SIGN OF DAMAGE ?
HAVE A NEUTRAL CONNECTION COME LOOSE ( OR LIVE ) FROM FITTING ?
R LIGHTS EARTHED ?
IF NOTHING OBVIOUS FROM VISUAL INSPECTION U NEED TO GET IN A REGISTERED ELECTRCIAN.
