upstairs window height

Post by vonspritz » Sat Mar 17, 2012 5:34 pm

Hi all
Because the planners want me to make my extension roof lower than the main building, I am short of window height on the upper floor. This means I want the top of the window as near to the eaves as possible. Is there a lintel designed for this application, or how can I arrange it to get the maximum possible window height? I am working on a 300mm cavity wall.
Thanks

you can use Architect’s Formulator app which contains 200+ useful different formulas for architects. Some of them include: Acoustics, Room Absorption, Reverberation Time-metric or Time-feet, Bricks Needed in 8, 12 or 16 inch wall, Design, Seating Capacity Area,Cantilever Vmax, Uniform Load Tree Spans, Weight of Fine Aggregate, windows height calculator.
