Using Plasticiser and SBR in Mortar Mix?

Can I use a plasticer AND SRB in a mortar mix.

I need to repoint a garden wall and what to use the SBT to improve the adhesion to the brick and apply it with a mortar gun.

I understand that the Mortar gun works well when plasticiser is added to the mortar mix.
