Apologies if this is not the most appropriate forum for this.
I have been clearing our garden and come across an old concrete storage shed. It's about 4'x4' square and made of concrete, with a flat (potentially reinforced) roof.
I want to use it as additional storage in the garden, but the missus thinks its ugly so I've agreed to smarten it up a bit.
Part of this plan is to put up a pitched roof to kind of hide the concrete and match up with the shed.
I don't particularly want to start removing the existing roof and wondered if there was any experience in simply attaching a wood frame structure to the existing roof.
I'm thinking of simple apex style roof using 2x4s, OSB and some shingles.
Ideally if you can get a timber frame the best option I can think of is Lightweight roof tiles. They don't need a strong structure and look great, just like real tiles.
