Vokera combi Boiler

by MartinStewart » Tue Dec 16, 2008 11:51 am

Hi

I was wondering if someone could help. This morning when goign for a shoer there was no hot water. On inspection the boiler pressure was low so topped up from mains. Unfortunately the valve peg broke and by the time I turned the water off and closed it with a screwdriver it had overfilled.

It is off and i have tried to bleed the radiators to lower the pressure however when i switch it back on there is a knocking sound and the pressure gauge flickers. The boiler will light so not sure what the problem is.

Any help would be superb

Thanks

Martin

Hi Martin,

Bleed rads until pressure is about 1 - 1.4bar, switch back on , it should settle, if not get an RGI
