Hi, have an outbuilding that camewith the house. It’s quite old is single skin and pitched tiled roof. I noticed quite a few cracks outside and then some damp inside. I’ve now investigated and seems that there is huge gaps between the wall and floor. The building has been built on a concrete slab on top of clay soil. The largest gap found so far is 2cm . Not sure what options there are for this. I’d think that the whole building is like this. Can I fill the gaps and join the pieces together. The pad doesn’t seem very thick. But I read that in clay the used to relay on compacting the soil and a pad on top. Annoyingly the put the bricks right on the edge of the pad. I’ve taken a few pics to show the situation.
