Wardrobe Doors and Repairing Hinges

Hi all, hoping for advice. Have been successful in hanging 7/8 hinges but have had a bit of a disaster as pictured. Can anyone advise as to how we can rectify? Thank you very much.

As its chipboard, you will have to reposition the hinge higher.
You will need a forstner bit in your drill, to cut the hole for the hinge
