Warm Roof and Using 150mm Bright Nails?

Post by david87 » Wed Oct 17, 2018 4:01 pm

Fixing specification warm roof

we are putting a warm roof on part of our property with build up 9mm OSB 60mm woodfibre insulation membrane 25mmx2 treated batten and counter batten and then Russel flat concrete tile - our roofer has started to use 150mm bright nails to fix the lower batten through the woodfibre insulation to the OSB - we have asked them to stop as we understood this type of nail is not suitable for exterior use or with treated timer- is this correct ? Do we need to remove the ones they have put in ?
