As it says in the subject line, the hot water tap on our bathroom wash basin seemed to have lost pressure. However, if I turn it back and forth (on and off), the pressure comes back, so I guess it's just some sort of flow problem. I haven't taken the tap apart yet (been very busy.) I was just wondering if anyone's come across this before - I'm guessing something's just sticking inside the tap.
Yes, it's usually a tap problem. I don't know what type of tap you have, but I can guess. No doubt if you take the tap apart, clean every part, and replace the washer it'll be fine. If you can get hold of some silicone grease, and apply a little on any moving parts, it'll help.
Thanks for the reply, proptech. Good to hear it's probably something straight forward (as I suspected and was hoping!) I do have some silicone grease...somewhere....
