water overflows nto basin on close coupled toilet

Post by rodholdsworth » Thu May 17, 2007 4:59 pm

i have two close coupled toilets. both have a continous steady overflow into the basin. On one toilet i have relaced the siphon unit but this has had no effect whatsoever. Can you advise what i should do next?

Hi,

Some toilet cisterns are fitted with an internal overflow as opposed to an external pipe, this is part of the flushing syphon so it could be that the water level in the cistern is set too high.
