What are the Best Pen-Style Cable Locators?

Postby greengrass » Wed Sep 19, 2018 7:57 pm

Pen style current locators ranging from £10 avoiding anything lower in price. Anyone can suggest one between £10- £25 they know or have found reliable and can they pin point cables in walls, buried roughly 2.5 cm in wall under plastic capping.
I had a Michael Faraday’s roof truss electromagnetic induction current locator it was a nightmare to carry around and no the woodworm got to it so have to change it Heh! Heh! (a laugh a day keeps the Doctor at bay too!).
Many thanks to all for your time.

Save your money, unless they actually touch a live cable, they are a waste of time.
Don't even think about an "all in one cable / pipe / stud detector" They are even worse.
