What is the Best Type of Paint for Spray Painting Furniture?

Post by DekHog » Fri Oct 17, 2014 6:40 am

OK, struggling to get an answer to this one - I bought a HVLP spray gun, initially to do our 50m of fencing - great; should have bought one years ago.... anyway....

.... I've decide to strip/repaint a table from the house - it's now all sanded and waiting to be painted, but does anyone have any idea the best kind of paint(s) to use? It's to be white, and what I have available is;

* Water based white primer
* Water based white satinwood
* White emulsion
* Silk finish lacquer (designed for spray application).

Obviously the paints would have to be thinned for spraying. Any suggestions as to which combination of the above I should use?

TIA

Hi, a spraying gun works perfectly with a primer. You can also use it with lacquer. Good luck with your painting!

There are two types: sprayers that use air to atomize the finish and airless sprayers.
