What is the Difference on Tubular Latch and Tubular Mortice Latchs

Post by Raul_breganzo » Tue Aug 25, 2015 9:59 am

Hi,
What's the difference on Tubular n Tubular Mortice latches? Screwfix sell some for 97pence n others for £3.45 etc... How do I decide which ones I need for my internal standard doors (non fire doors n standard size). I'm using the latches on a backplate handle...???

Hi

As far as I can tell the only obvious difference is that the more expensive ones come with a12 month manufacturers guarantee which means they are of a much superior quality. Both will do the job but if the door is used a lot I would definitely go for the more expensive one as the cheaper ones will probably wear quicker.

Hope this helps

Thanks. The 1 I bought (Eurospec) comes with 10 years Manufacturer Guarantee...

The reviews/comments left on the website can be misleading as most, if not all are reviewed straight after purchase/fitting them on so it's not a true reflection on how reliable they actually are!
