What's Best for Fixing Wall Units on Solid Plasterboard

Post by ricgreenwood » Sun Oct 26, 2014 7:38 am

Hi there,
I'm fitting a new kitchen and need to fix wall units to a stud wall. The problem is the wall is made from several layers of plasterboard . All the heavy duty fixings I've found so far assume a hollow stud wall.
Driva fixings aren't usually supposed to be strong enough but I'm wondering if they'll be ok on 'solid' plaster plasterboard?
What would people recommend?
Thanks

You can run a Barton on the wall and fix it using more heavy duty fixings. Then attach the units to the baton which should hold just fine! Hope this helps
