What to do with 2 small filters with shower mixer valve All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

I am about to install a replacement mixer valve for my shower. The new unit comes with two small washer style filters which are not mentioned in the instructions. Does anyone know what they are for. Are they meant to go in the connections to the water inlets?

Yes they seal connection and filter out fine particles.
