What to do with Plaster on Bedroom Walls after Stripping old Paper

by potash1984 » Thu Oct 08, 2015 11:59 am

Hi

I have stripped the wallpaper off the bedroom walls so I can paper it. However, there is plaster on the board walls and I've removed the loose plaster as it was crumbling and falling down. I dont know whether to just paper over it with plaster on 90% of the walls or to remove all the plaster which will take me a lot of effort and time. Please can you help

Hi potash1984,

It all depends......!

You might be able to get a way with using something like Fill & Skim to patch up the holes, if they are not too big. If they are then you might have to tear it all down and start a fresh.

Have a look at our video on using Fill and Skim on patching a ceiling:
