What to Repair Holes in Wall With After Removing Dado Rail

by Jpdcarro » Sun Oct 29, 2017 5:05 pm

So I got crazy trigger happy and pulled off the old dado rail in the living room, which was secured into the wall with a like a wooden peg in the wall and nails through the rail into the peg. So now I’ve pulled off the rail half the wall has come out with it.

Above and bellow the rail the plastering is fine really. But the question is how do I fix the dado wall bit? The holes are too deep and wide for pollyfilla, I’ve read lots about cement plaster and a pva primer but absolutely clueless to be honest if there’s anyone that could give me a little advice. Hundreds of YouTube videos but nothing that seems to relate to my job.

Thanks in advance (p.s 8 months pregnant and hubby deployed hence the rush and the fact I tried it myself)
