Evening.
I've just had to clear some white stuff that was blocking the hot water side of a mixer tap over a bath. I took a photo but the file size is too big to post.
It's opaque, not sticky at all and easily scraped away. Kind of reminds me of wallpaper paste. I'm in Birmingham which i don't think is a hard water area.
We've been in this house for over 8 years and this happened for the 1st time about four months ago then again two weeks ago and now a 3rd time tonight. It's happened once recently in a similar mixer tap for the shower in the en suite.
Its an easy fix obviously but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is and why it's happening (and more frequently).
Not sure if its relevant but we have a separate hot water tank. A megaflo indirect cylinder (whatever that means).
