Why won't the lights turn off?!

by mackay » Sun Dec 23, 2007 5:04 pm

Hi

Our two landing lights (which operate as a pair) can be turned on and off from three different switches, or they could until yesterday. Now they are permanently on, and don't respond to any switch. Any help would be much appreciated, as I can't find any info in any book.

Thanks

M

mackay
u have a switching system which uses two x 2-way switches
and a third middle of circuit switch called an intermeadiate .
the intermeadiate switch , which has 4 terminals , switches
between the strappers from L1 AND L2 of your two 2-way switches.
unless these connections have been altered or come away
from thier connections, then u could have a faulty switch.
on the arrangement.
unless u know the configureation of the wiring it is not really DIY.
I WOULD ADVISE to get in your electrcian to solve.
it should not cost a great deal if the problem is on the switching circuit
