Will Small Extension be Permited Development if Used for Business Purposes

by sharonboers » Fri Oct 23, 2015 10:41 am

we are hoping to add a small, 20ft*12 ft, extension on to the end of our current house (which is a 60ft*20ft mobile home bunglow with full planning permission).

This extension will be used for storage and meat packing for our current farm building.

It seems to me that the extension may be permitted development, but it is not clear if this still counts because it will be used as part of our business.

Another option is to place it at the end of the house but not actually attatch it in which case it becomes an out building not an extension - again this seems to fit in permitted development but i cant find if useing it for my business takes it out of permitted.

Can any one help me work this out?
