Window handle turns too easily (but works)

Postby LearningStuff » Mon Jul 04, 2022 4:38 pm

A relative has a uPVC window handle which works, but it’s loose. The handle seems to be fastened tight enough onto the window frame, as the handle doesn’t rattle from side to side, but when opening/closing the window the handle spins round too easily and can “fall” fully open. It’s as if the spindle is loose — I may be using incorrect terminology! Is there a way to fix this?

Simply Build It

I forgot to mention, the round circle that looks like a button is not a button. The small hole allows the window to be locked with a fine hexagonal key.
