Wiring backlit mirror door bathroom cabinet

Post by DIY Dave » Mon Nov 26, 2007 2:19 pm

Hi,
I am in the process of completely refurbing my bathroom. I have bought a stainless steel backlit mirror door bathroom cabinet and need some advice on connecting it to the mains. The cabinet came with no instructions whatsoever. It will be situated above the wash basin in zone 3. The cabinet is fitted witha three core flex (live, neutral and earth) coming out of the top of the cabinet.
Thanks
DIY Dave

It does not really matter as to zone if the unit is not designed for bathrooms with the isolation transformers etc. Then I would not fit it. They is a high risk of electric shock and not worth the chance. I like 12 volt lights in bathrooms and battery shaver no need for shaver sockets these days.
