Wiring up an Outdoor Combo Switch / Socket - Advice Needed

by steq184 » Fri Oct 31, 2014 12:27 pm

I have just got this outdoor switch/socket combo and am having trouble wiring it up.
In the attached instructions when it says "connect the brown wire from the appliance (garden lamp) to the switch terminal marked X I cannot find any terminal marked X.
Any advice what terminal should be X would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry not the best photo I know

I can hardly read the instructions but would guess as shown bottom terminal is com and two top terminals are L1 and L2.

So do not use L2 just use com and L1. In theory line in goes to Com and line out goes to L1 and neutral does not go to switch but direct to lamp. Often it needs a connector block in the switch box for the neutral.
