I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good woodstain for existing wooden ceiling beams. I bought some Sadolin classic wood treatment and applied it to one wooden oak lintel and it has left it shiny. I want to treat the other lintels and beams but don't wanta shine. Can anyone suggest any alternative stains please.
The beams have been treated probably 30 plus years ago with stain and are pretty dark, somewhere between mahognany and rosewood colour.
