woodburning stove back boiler heating.

Post by Len » Thu Dec 30, 2010 11:31 am

I have a stove which I hope to fit with a 4Kw back boiler to run approx 3 radiators, the idea is to use them to heat a hall, bedroom downstairs and finally a small rad upstairs to assisst circulation. Does anyone have any information on sytem drawings and if it is possible to run the system pumpless. As I have a gas combi boiler fitted I do not or wish to have a hot water tank due to space.
The name of a good installer in West Scotland would be a bonus

Well it's impossible to run it without a pump - unless all radiators are above the boiler.

If the boiler was downstairs, and all the radiators are upstairs it'll heat those radiators - as heat rises.
