I wonder if any one can help??
Ive just bought my 1st house and am in a bit of confused state.I am in the middle of replacing the interior doors downstairs with new Clear Pine doors.I need a pine frame 170mm if that means anything to anyone but can only get one up to 150mm,unless i get one espically made which could be costly??
Ive been given the advice that white deal is mostly used to replace a pine frame, but have also heared rumours about red deal, but im really confused and not sure wat to do,can someone help is any of this true?
Leeroy81,
If you are able to fit doors you should be able to make door linings of a suitable width from planed timber. You are unlikely to get a choice of timber type but try a number of different suppliers to see what quality timber they stock. It may have to be specially machined for you.
