Wooden Fire Surround and Installing Marble Backplate

Post by andrewt67 » Mon Sep 04, 2017 7:54 pm

Hi
We are looking to replace our existing wooden fire surround.

We're not sure if the surround is all in one piece or whether the pillars and the mantle are separate.

Will the marble backplate be set into a rebate between the pillars or are the pillars usually solid up to the edge of the marble backplate ?

Thanks
