Worcester Combi Boiler - Pilot Light switches itself off

Post by Djashy1 » Thu Dec 20, 2007 8:48 am

Came home from work last night to find the boiler off and the radiators around the house cooling down. I switched it back on and the pilot light came on and the radiators began heating up again. However after about 10 minutes it switched itself off again and I can hear a clicking sound as if it is trying to ignite the pilot light again.

Seems strange as all the radiators are working fine, its just swicthing itself off.

Does the boiler have a vertical or horizontal flue ? If its vertical check the flame picture - it shouldn't be lifting off the burner.
