We were approached by a client who hated her bathroom, in particular the tiles on the wall
0:08
She had been to a company called Interior Panel Systems Limited, IPSL, and she had seen some shower and bathroom panels that she loved
0:18
We went to have a look at the website and we were absolutely thoroughly impressed, especially with the range and the massive amount of help available
0:28
There are guides, installation videos, there's a helpline. They really do offer a great service for the DIYer and the professional installer
0:37
We had two rules. Keep the bath and the toilet working throughout the job
0:42
and there mustn't be any pipes visible at the end of the job
0:46
The pipes and waste were rerouted into the wall for the bath and the basin
0:50
the wall tap and the concealed shower and we laid a plywood floor to get it level, flat and smooth for the new tiles
0:57
The walls were made good ready for our aqua board panels. Time for the floor. We used aqua floor click lock tiles from IPSL and they were laid using 6mm spaces around the walls as shown in the installation video
1:27
And then it time to get the bath in With the bath completely sealed we can start putting the aqua board on the walls
1:42
Make up a stable platform to cut your aqua board easily with a hand saw or a jigsaw
1:48
Check your walls for level so that your corner trim goes in completely upright
1:55
apply the IPSL super grab adesive to your corner trim and push the corner trim into place
2:04
The trim can be cut easily with a hacksaw. You can see from this frame how the corner trim
2:12
and the edge trim finish the boards off beautifully keeping them totally watertight
2:17
The adhesive is applied to the walls at approximately two tubes per panel and the panel is pushed firmly
2:25
onto the wall. Take a lot of care measuring and cutting your holes. If you're in any doubt
2:32
use a cardboard template first to make sure they're in the right place. Continue around the
2:38
walls pushing the panel tongue well into the groove to keep them watertight. A quick
2:44
word of warning your new bath comes with a protective film that should be removed
2:48
before you seal the bath otherwise you're sealing to the film and not the bath
2:53
Take care with the cuts, measure carefully and in no time at all you will have a fantastic
