How to fit a shower enclosure
How to fit a shower enclosure or cubicle. Fitting a shower enclosure, either a quadrant enclosure, framed quadrant, offeset quadrant, 900mm x 900mm or 600mm x 600mm shower tray enclosure all have the same basic principles and depend on getting everything measured accurately and all channels and frame parts absolutely upright. All parts of a self-assembly shower enclosure fit tightly to each other to ensure, for the main part they are watertight but adding some sealant in the right places is a good idea. Other than behind each upright and under the bottom rail, all sealant should be outside of the enclosure or cubicle. This is so that when any water gets into the frame (which it will) it can easily run out again into the tray. Shower doors have a lot of adjustment so it should be easy to make sure thyey close properly, usually on magnetic strips.
