advice on fitting spot lights and box

I want to create a box and fasten it around the ceiling edges around a room and have spot lights put in it.

I'm just wondering what the best very light weight material with a nice finish would be?
Walls are made up of plasterboard so I would need to do something with that...

any advice?

Or is it possible to purchase pre-made and then just install?

I cannot find anything anywhere...
