BOUNDARY/PARTY WALL
MY NEIGHBOURS GARAGE EXTENSION IS ON THE BOUNDARY...I AM HAVING A GATE INSTALLED...CAN I BOLT THE GATEPOST IT TO HIS EXTENSION WITHOUT PERMISSION...AND HE HAS HAD A SAT DISH INSTALLED ON THE SAME WALL OVERHANGING MY DRIVE IS THIS LEGAL???THANX : :?
Hi, this could be difficult to answer as not sure of circumstances.
I'd recommend you contact OPSI. But i'd always try to keep good relationships with neighbours, you may have to apply for consent to install gate which means giving about 2 months notice, as for the dish i'm not sure. I have seen flues for boilers installed in extentions on the wall at the neighbours side and I believe there is a three metre rule but not sure about sat dishes. Contact OPSI (www.opsi.gov.uk) they will help you with your concerns. Good Luck KB
