Can A plastic Pipe toilet drain be attached with asbestos

I have a leak at the outlet draingae pipe of my flat toilet. It is asbestos.
Unfortunately one owner did not agree to repair her pipe which is asbestos, so unfortunately to avoid repercussions, we decided to repair ours only. Can someone tell me if plastic pipes be attached to the remaining asbestos. will it leak???
