Central Heating Problems

by DamianRiley » Thu Oct 02, 2008 9:01 pm

I moved into my house (7 years old) recently. Found that hot water came out of the cold water taps because the cold water feed was taken after the pressure reducing valve on the feed to the water heater. Fixed this.

Then I recently changed a radiator for a heated towel rail. Since refilling the system (Megaflo unvented pressure water heater) the radiators are heating up when the hot water is switched on. Anybody got any ideas?

Help would be appreciated as I have had three plumbers agree to come and take a look and all three have cancelled!

Firstly, thank for help.

I have checked near the water cylinder and there is a Honeywell motorised valve and a Drayton zone valve actuator. Is there a simple way to test?
