Central Heating quote - Fair price?

by mdvUK » Thu Apr 16, 2009 8:55 am

Hi

I'm looking to upgrade my conventional boiler with a new system boiler and upgrade the hot water cylinder tank in the airing cupboard. The current diverter valve, programmer and cylinder and room stats will remain as they were only replaced in Jan09. Could someone advise as to whether the quote below is fair?

Estimate for the installation of a new Worcester Greenstar 24Si boiler
The removal of the old floor standing boiler.
Power flushing of the central heating system with sentinel X800 jet flow, in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and BS7593.
The installation of a new 1050 X 450mm single lagged indirect hot water cylinder

The installation and modification of any necessary pipe work.
The installation of a new MagnaClean professional system filter.
The running of new condensate pipe work
The running of a new gas pipe run to the boiler (If necessary)
Inhibit system with sentinel X100 Inhibiter
Completion of boiler benchmark certificate.
Register boiler with Gas Safe / Building Controls.
Issuing of a Landlord/Home owner Gas Safety Certificate.
Removal of all waste related to the installation.
Total cost £2800
