Combi boiler supply connections

by midknight » Wed Nov 26, 2008 1:18 pm

My gas Ariston A30MFF1 boiler has a 15mm water supply pipe to it

Is this big enough?

Behind the 15mm cold supply pipe valve to the boiler there is a copper elbow. On this elbow a 10 or 12mm stub has been soldered or brazed

Is that a standard fitting and will it be strong enough for cold water pressures?

The stub then has a valve and the filling loop on it.

Many thanks for any help

Many thanks.

I was never able to vent the air from the heat exchanger. When opening the vent by up to half a turn nothing happens. The pressure on the gauge is over 1 bar so I would expect fluid. It may be blocked.

I know the original installer must have done it but the manual says to vent again after a period of use.
