Prices for PIC (Pattern Imprinted Concrete) vary a huge amount depending on the nature of design, ease of access depth of sub base required and many other factors. They can vary from as much as £30.00 per sq m to over £100 so you will not get any sense from a guess in the forum. There are loads of PIC companies out there so get at least three quotes and always ask about guarentees against cracking and flaking. Crack control joints are usually put into the slab but if these are not plentiful enough, or not in the right place, cracking can occur, especially if the contractor has not laid the concrete to an exact thickness throughout the job. There should be no more than half an inch (12.5mm) in thickness difference throughout the whole job so when temperatures change the concrete expands and contracts at exactly the same rate throughout. Also make sure the finished job is sealed properly and ask for a guarentee on the seal also.
