Condensate Trap Installation and Priming Potterton ProMax 15/2 HE

by rich3008 » Thu Apr 19, 2018 7:08 pm

Hi Everyone,

After some advise in relation to my Potterton ProMax 15/2 HE Plus Boiler.

I have replaced the condensate trap due to leakage/silt build up. The user manual mentions about priming the first chamber, and to check for leaks.

I am slightly confused by what this means. I believe it means filling up the first chamber to roughly half way? Would someone be able to confirm?

Does this water remain in the first chamber? I am assuming that over time, the condensate will fill up the first chamber, and start to overflow into the second chamber, and eventually out through the drain line.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Richard
